Friday, November 16 | 11 am  CANCELED
East Building | Museum Auditorium
$25 Members (per session)
$30 Nonmembers (per session)
These seminars begin with a lecture by curators or other experts, and the discussion continues over a lunch catered by Iris, the Museum Restaurant. Register at www.ncartmuseum.org/tickets or call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Registration and payment for the combined program required by 4 pm on the Wednesday before the event.

Learn how the color palettes, fabric, and trim choices for the Museum’s three silver Torah ensembles reflect the artistic and social environment from which they originate. Durham-based fine art conservator Ruth Cox also discusses how the period of time and synagogues' locations influenced the concept, design, and fabrication of the mantles she designed and made for the NCMA.
