Religious subjects sculpted in luminous alabaster were the most popular art form in medieval England. Curator of European Art David Steel discusses the culture and history, including the era of violent iconoclasm, surrounding these beautiful sculptures, on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Each panel in Object of Devotion has a story to tell; join us and learn more about the most important exhibition of English alabaster sculpture ever shown in America.
