Book Club Discussion: Ludwig Wittgenstein: The Duty of Genius
Wednesday, April 3 | 6:30 pm CANCELED$10 Members (each session)
$13 Nonmembers (each session)
(Includes a light dinner.)
Ludwig Wittgenstein’s severe upbringing by a dominating father may have contributed to his obsessions about minute design details for his home (and to the suicide of three brothers). Book club participants watch an 18-minute video that reveals some of those obsessions as well as connections between Monk’s biography and work in our video exhibition Project 35. The Christian Science Monitor says, “Great philosophical biographies can be counted on one hand. Monk's life of Wittgenstein is such a one.”
To register call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Registration and payment required by 4 pm on Tuesday before the program.
