Look at the treelike structures of Roxy Paine, who uses metal to make manmade versions of natural elements, and investigate form, balance, and the expressive use of line while making a small-scale sculpture with wire.
Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, now’s your chance to have fun engaging with art while taking a closer look at works in the Museum’s collection. Each session offers an informal gallery discussion paired with a studio experience exploring subjects in paintings and sculpture. Enhance your appreciation of art and try your hand at artists’ techniques and materials in a relaxed atmosphere. Supplies provided. Register online or call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923.
