Driver, a nameless loner in a white satin scorpion-embellished jacket, takes the wheel for an armed robbery to aid his true love, and predictably, things go awry. An homage to ’80s action movies by a Danish genre director (who won Best Director at Cannes), Drive is propulsive, brutal, and stylish.
