Family Fun Saturday: Animals of Ancient Egypt

Saturday, August 10 | 10 am
East Building, Education Studio 2
Families with children ages 5–11
$3 Members
$5 Nonmembers

From hawks and jackals to lowly beetles, animals were an important part of ancient Egyptian civilization; even the gods and goddesses were believed to take on animal forms. Explore some of these creatures in the Egyptian Galleries, and then return to the studio to create your own art worthy of King Tut’s tomb!

Gallery tour plus studio workshops for families. Kids and adults delight in exploring the Museum’s collection, creating projects together, and discovering one another’s creativity. A different theme each time means there’s always something new to explore. Register online, by calling (919) 715-5923, or in person at the Museum Box Office.
