Fayetteville, N.C. Award-winning artist Paris Alexander introduces sculpting techniques for a group project that will be installed on the grounds of the Arts Council. Using sculptures by Auguste Rodin in the NCMA’s collection as inspiration, Alexander teaches students to carve and sculpt limestone into beautiful forms. This project is made possible through funding from the Humber Endowment at the NCMA, the Arts Council of Cumberland County, and the Ellington-White Community Development Corporation. Wear casual clothing; no open-toed shoes. All materials included. Bring a bag lunch. Registration required; contact Anne Rawson at the Arts Council.
