The North Carolina Museum of Art

Summer Movies

Open-air cinema has been a popular NCMA tradition for over 20 years. Our summer series features recent Oscar winners, family favorites, and timeless classics. Occasionally we program special Music/Movie Combos that combine a live performance with a film screening.

Gates open 90 minutes before screenings, and patrons often arrive early to enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Movie concessions are available for purchase, and beer and wine are sold before and during most shows.

Admission to summer movies is free with Museum membership, and parking is free for all.

Please note that we occasionally show R-rated films not suitable for children.
