STUDENT GALLERY

Young Artists' Work | Class Projects | Puzzles | ABCs in the NCMA

The North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation Education Gallery, located in the Museum's Education Wing, features periodic exhibitions of works by students from across the state. Highlighting the Museum’s educational collaboration with public and private schools throughout North Carolina, the student gallery also celebrates the wealth of talent of the state’s next generation of creative spirits.

Art of Collaboration Exhibition
Opens April 7, 2009

With help from the North Carolina Museum of Art, teachers in Chatham and Johnston County are using the visual arts to engage their students in learning about math, science, social studies, and language arts. Works of art in the exhibition are examples of achievements made by students and teachers from Horton Middle School and Perry Harrison School in Chatham County and Archer Lodge Middle School and McGee's Crossroads in Johnston County.

The Art of Collaboration is supported by IMLS and the Mebane Charitable Foundation, Inc.
