Exhibition policies
Please do not touch the works of art.
No food or drink allowed in the galleries.
Photography and sketching are prohibited.
Strollers, backpacks, and other bulky items are not permitted. They can be checked at the information desk.
Audio tour
An audio tour of the exhibition is available for $5 at the Museum Box Office or on-line.
Docent-led, public tours are also available. (Please check the public tour schedule.)
Video Theater
The Video Theater, located on the entrance level of the Museum, offers a variety of free, short films for Museum visitors, including two features about Monet:
- Monet in Normandy (4 minutes)
This short film overlays haunting melody with an interplay of Monet paintings and photographs of the French coastal province of Normandy.
- Monet in Normandy (30 minutes)
Explore Monet’s life and art in this UNC-TV documentary produced in conjunction with the Monet in Normandy exhibition. Features NCMA Director Lawrence J. Wheeler and curators David Steel (NCMA); Heather Lemonedes (Cleveland Museum of Art); and Richard Brettell (University of Texas, Dallas).
Dining
During Monet in Normandy the Museum offers two dining options:
Blue Ridge Restaurant
Elegant but casual cuisine- Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Friday evening 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Last seating 8:30 p.m.)
- Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Closed Mondays
Enjoy culinary delights in the Museum’s full service restaurant. Located on the lowest level of the Museum.
Lunch menu offered Tuesday through Saturday. Brunch menu offered on Saturday and Sunday.

Café Monet
Quick snacks and beverages- Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

- Member Mondays (for Museum Members only, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, Jan. 8), Noon to 8:30 p.m.
During Monet in Normandy a special café will serve prepared sandwiches, snacks, pastries, coffee, and sodas. Located on the entrance level of the Museum.

Take the show home with you with a Monet in Normandy exhibition catalogue. Find unique gifts, books, art prints, and more, all related to the exhibition. Located at the exhibition exit, on the lowest level of the Museum.
Museum Store
The Museum Store offers some of the most unique and inspired gifts in the area. Located on the entrance level of the Museum, or visit the online store.
